Patriotic Points Again

I  finally finished my patriotic table topper for July 4, 2014.  The pattern is available at allpeoplequilt.com.  You may recall that I made this previously, but didn't keep it; it was shown in my April 2, 2013, post.   I liked it so much I decided to make it again, and I think I like this second one better actually.  It is 49" square.  Again, my quilting doesn't show very well.  I always seem to take pictures at the wrong time of day!


It will be on the table in the sunroom for most of this summer, probably until Labor Day.


I'm not sure what will be next for me.  I need to finish quilting the DIL's quilt!  There are a few other things running through my mind too.

We are still getting rain each day.  Sunday my yard got 3.6", Monday - 0.75", and today only 0.20.  But the surrounding areas got some serious flooding today, right at rush hour traffic time!  More is expected tomorrow, and even on Thursday.  Lake levels are rising, which is wonderful for cities' water, and for fishermen too.  I'm truly grateful for the rain, and that my area has not had storms or hail!

    I seriously love that quilt! I still have the printed pattern that I think you sent me and maybe one of these days I'll make it. Yesterday I drifted off my basic project into some postage stamp size piecing. I just wanted to do some mindless sewing for a change. I even stopped at the quilt shop and found out about a quilters guild in the area!

    This makes a pretty good size piece and looks very good in patriotic colors. The flag fabric in the center star was a good choice.

    You have a well-dressed table :) Enjoy all your lovely rain. We have had a good amout too, and my garden is very appreciative. I hope it lasts this summer - the last two have been much too dry.

    The table topper is just awesome! Love your fabric choices. Love the center star. It is just all good. And now you to get enjoy it until fall rolls around.
    I hope you continue to get rain, but no storms. We have had a storm every day. Tomorrow we are msupposed to be dry.

    Beautiful! (As always) I'm glad to hear you're getting much-needed rain. We've gotten our fair share here, too, but did not need it nearly as much. The farmers are starting to worry, in fact! One good thing about a rainy day? You can quilt all you want and not feel guilty about the yard work that's not being done!

    Another exceptional quilt Love. You really know how to make a stunner whether it's on the wall or on your table. Even with winter here we've had very little rain. Just bitterly cold winds and snow to 900 metres or 2952 ft 9 5/64 in (well that's what the converter said)
