I finished my Christmas donation quilt. It is totally a printed panel except the binding, of course. I free-motioned around all the figures, and also in the green plaid for a quick finish. Maybe some kid removed from home during December will like it; I hope so.
I looked out the sunroom window last week and guess what I saw --- a bunny rabbit! She was afraid to move, and allowed me to walk all around her. She disappeared as soon as I came back in the house. It's not often I see a bunny rabbit here. Sorry, but these cute little diversions help to ease my mind and body.
Tomorrow will be the third funeral dinner I've helped with at church in the past seven days! In addition to that, I've been pretty busy with some other matters that required a lot of my time. I'm hoping after tomorrow things will settle down so I can get back on my Civil War quilt! I really want to get that finished.

I've just enlarged your feathers, and they look beautiful. I can understand your desire to finish. The donation quilt will make someone very happy this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love photos of wildlife. Right now we have lots of young birds feeding on our fruit bearing trees. They do make a bit of a mess, though.
I guess all of the funerals are a good reminder to live life to the fullest, and to do whatever makes you happy.
I think your quilting looks really good! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteCute little furry creature. I think it is fun to find wildlife in the yard occasionally--if they aren't eating my garden. : )
I was in charge of the funeral meals at our church for several years. You don't get to plan when those happen--you just have to drop everything else and get to work. It can be so challenging sometimes, especially when they come thick and fast. But what a great service to the families! Good for you to help out.
Your quilting is lovely. I really like the designs you have chosen to complement the piecing. Cute bunny. You can have all the ones eating my carrots (really, I know it's a stereotype, but we saw them doing it!)
ReplyDeleteThe quilting on the CW quilt looks great! I also love to see wild life in the area. We (my neighbor and I) saw 2 deer this morning. Don't overdo yourself with all your projects.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks fine Love. My word we are critical of our own work aren't we. I wouldn't even attempt feathers! I'm sure you donation quilt will be treasured. When children are removed from their homes, for whatever reason, they lose everything that is familiar. Bunny rabbits here are in plague proportions but that sure is a sweet critter.
