One thing I must tell you about this show. The ladies of Town 'N Country Quilt Guild of Stephenville were the friendliest ladies at any show we've attended up to that time. They were all over the place, asking, "We are so glad you came; are you enjoying the show?", or "Do you have any questions?", or "Would you like to see the back of this quilt?" Every one of them were smiling all the time, and trying to be sure everyone was having a good time, making casual conversation with us. As I recall, they were that same way at their last show. They are to be commended!
After leaving the quilt show, we went about 2-3 miles to visit a Dairy/Cheese Farm my DIL knew about. They make cheese there from the milk from their Jersey cows, and of course, we had to put some in our ice chest to bring home. It is delicious!
There's one more show I'll be reporting on real soon. So be sure to check back; it was yesterday, but I want to keep the shows separate. You won't believe what happened there! I think maybe it was the last show within driving distance for this year.
The only sewing I've done since the grandson's patriotic quilt is to make two sets of pillow cases to match that quilt and his Texas University quilt, and two sets of pillow cases for his Texas Aggie lovin' younger brother.
I have a couple of projects to do soon, and then get on with cleaning for Christmas! Ugh!!!
Watch back soon for a surprise.

I have the pattern for the flying geese around the stars. It is on that bucket list that is longer than my expected life span!!
ReplyDeleteFun pillowcases. Those are a quick and satisfying project. And I'll bet those were appreciated! : )
My favourites have to be "Quilt Diva" and the first purple one. You have such a wealth of quilters in your area. Lucky you. I like the idea of personalized pillowcases. That might be a good Christmas gift holder instead of just a bag.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Love. I haven't made it to a quilt show in a while, so it's nice to see one through your eyes.
