Faith, Hope and Love and Christmas Lights

I wanted to title this "Faith, Hope and Love Completed", but somehow that didn't sound right! tee hee! Those three are never finished, right?

The full picture is not the best; the quilt really does lay flat and straight, but I didn't get it hung straight! Someone mentioned the words couldn't be read on the first post. Hope these pictures will help; also the quilting in the pink shows now, but the stitch in the ditch doesn't much, except where I missed the ditch, of course!

I got the front porch lights up yesterday before the nasty wet weather hit today; well, all except the GS's weren't here to wrap the big tree. That may not happen this year since it looks like we are in for several days of wet weather. My big party for my school friends is Dec. 15, and if we don't get it wrapped by then, it's not going to happen. But we will live!

My next door neighbor is such a special person, and every year she give me something wonderful that she is discarding from her Christmas things. She left this on my front porch for me yesterday! Isn't he beautiful?! He will be checking his list from the organ when people come in my front door!

Now I've got to get busy cleaning and decorating inside this messy house! Two weeks from this morning, and it will all be over except putting party things away! Of course, the family will be here Christmas, but that's a very small group. Not sure who else may show up in the meantime; I certainly hope Santa does!

  1. Your quilt is fantastic! There is a way to turn off the Lightbox that displays pictures and goes back to the original way. I'll look it up if you like. I changed mine on my blog, just let me know if you want to know how to turn it off.

Your house looks very festive and will be so inviting to your party guests. I love the beautiful Santa your neighbor left for you. He is perfect on the organ. Take it easy with your cleaning, we don't want any unfortunate mishaps this year. You stay healthy and have a wonderful Christmas!

  2. Great quilt. The verses are wonderful.
Your lights look good. I like your Santa. I have heard of Santa leaving gifts, but never someone leaving Santa. LOL
Don't work too hard, I am sure your house is already clean. Enjoy.

  3. The quilt came out beautifully. Your lights look festive, but you're missing some of that cold, wet, white stuff we have PLENTY of up here to complete the picture! (At least that's how I see Christmas!) Don't work too hard cleaning - though I often find cleaning when I know I'm having company makes it a little easier - at least there's a reason! (Cleaning just to keep the house clean seems like a waste of quilting time!)

  4. Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous! I love all the pink roses and the verses. I know the recipient will love it too. I'm sure your neighbor is happy to know that there is someone who will enjoy her cast-off Christmas decorations. My sister used to have the motto that you couldn't put too many ornaments on the Christmas tree and she filled up every tiny space that there was. I think you have that motto for your whole house! Hee Hee! I loved your cabinet with the village and the crystal figurines on top. Wow!! Pace yourself during the next 2 weeks.
