But the greatest of these is Love!
I have a very dear friend who is, and has been for several months, going through some really tough times. Her husband has cancer and other physical problems, and they have had almost unbearable emotional stress for way too long! I think this little quilt might give her a lift; maybe after Christmas I can make one for him.
The top currently is 55" x 44". I will add narrow borders all around, hopefully tomorrow, and get it pinned so I can machine quilt it myself before I start dragging out Christmas. I need to be doing that now, but I just wanted to do this for her first.
Sorry; no Civil War blocks for a while I guess!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and will have a wonderful Sunday. It is cold and nasty here tonight, and may be freezing by morning! Where did the sun go???

That is a gorgeous quilt, I know she will love it. I wish them all the best with the things they are going through.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely! I think I know where you got the printed verses...hee hee. Yes, I think winter is coming! The wind was awful yesterday. We had a quiet but very nice Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful quilt and a beautiful gesture for your friend.

I wish I could read the verses...it is beautiful and will bring great comfort to your friend.
ReplyDeleteIt was warm(ish) yesterday and tonight it is sooo cold.We might get s***. I can't even say it. ;)
That is a wonderful quilt and I'm absolutely sure it will lift the spirits of both your friend and her hubby. A worthy reason to put of Christmas decorating for a bit longer. (Though I do know how much you love Christmas!)
