Today I got started on little quilt No. 12; the center is pieced and layered for quilting, but with the usual daily errands and chores, I decided to wait to quilt it. No pictures yet.
At the time tonight when I should have been closing down the sunroom, I decided to make another Civil War block. In trying to choose fabrics, I realized I really do need to go shopping again for more variety. I finally decided on the fabrics for Block 4, Texas Tears.
Block 3 is the Seven Sisters block, and I'm going to need more time for that one. I have it drawn out for the stars placement, and I think I've decided on a background, but I don't have what I need for the stars (which I'm dreading!). I'll come back to it another time.
It's been a slow quilting day for me; hope it's been better for everyone else! Have a great Sunday!

It looks great! But do you really need more variety or are you just looking for an excuse to go shopping? (Tee hee hee...I use that one myself!)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! It's nice to have it light earlier this morning. I'm going for a walk as it looks like it might rain later. Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYou are really moving on those blocks! Great job and thanks for all the tips on civil war fabric!

Your CW block looks great Love. More fabric? Yes please. Your sewing rate couldn't possibly be any less than mine - I'm at a complete stop and starting to go backwards! ann :-)
ReplyDeleteThat block, Texas Tears, looks really complex. I love your fabrics, the block has so much texture.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time collecting more CW fabrics.
