Seven of our church quilters thoroughly enjoyed the day together last Friday at the Ellis County Quilt Guild Show at Midlothian, Texas. There were so many beautiful quilts; I took far more pictures than I could show here, but I'll include a few. If any of the makers see this blog, just know that I was so in awe with your expertise; sorry I cannot give the names where credit is due. Space just does not allow me to include all my favorites!

Just a portion of a Crazy Bedrunner
Gorgeous, but certainly not "simply"!
Perhaps the most meaningful to me,
as you will see from the description below.
(Sorry my photo is not more focused.)
What a trip that must have been!
What a treasure the quilt is!

Of course, we had to visit a couple of quilt shops along the way too; it truly was a fun day!
Today I began quilting on one of my patriotic quilt tops from last year. So far, it's going okay. I'm really slow, but I'm determined to finish it someday.
Hope your quilting time has been enjoyable!

You picked some real winners! Did any of them sport ribbons?

Wow! i sure missed out, didn't I? Those quilts are fabulous! Especially the first one/two. I don't know how anyone can make something so intricate. Thanks for posting the pictures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts Love, sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the photos. Enjoy quilting your patriotic quilt, there's no time limit, just enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful quilts. Thanks for sharing. Good for you, getting started on quilting another quilt. I'll try to follow your example and get some finished :) Maybe next week, or in the fall...you might guess that I'm a bit sluggish currently!
ReplyDeleteI think I messed up my comment so I will try again.
ReplyDeleteAmazing quilts. The detail is just stunning.
Glad you had fun. Did you get any goodies on your shop stops?
Stunning quilts! The Dresden would have to be my favourite. Delighted that you all had such a fun time.
