Yea!!! My fabric came last Tuesday, just as hoped for (expected), and it is the exact match to what I had!
I immediately got the cornerstones made and laid the blocks out on the guest bed for a first look.
It is a Michael Miller Fabrics pattern named "French Tile", designed by Emily Herrick. However, my fabrics are Moda's French General fabrics, bought on sale, you will remember, and I think it is working out perfectly.
Saturday I got it all sewed together, and it is ready to be squared up. I do think I need to add a border, and will if I can figure out how to do it and still have enough backing material. I'm dealing with about two inches to spare, I think, and that can get scary!
I had to hide it under the bedspread over the week-end because my DIL was to be coming for my GS's birthday party. I'm ready now to get started on it today. I'm really looking forward to getting the borders on.

It's looking great. Good luck squeezing out the fabric you need for the borders.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are gorgeous and this is going to be a beautiful quilt. I love blue and white quilts---hmmm, if DIL decides she does not like it for some silly reason, I am first in line to claim it, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have a blue and white bedroom. I find the color combo very soothing. You have a very pretty quilt in the making.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is so beautiful. I love blue so of course I love it. But it is so soothing too. Looks like a bit of spring. It is just beautiful already.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! And remember: measure twice, cut once!
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty and you were lucky to get a match for your fabric. Your DIL is in for a real treat.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Great fabrics and color choices. Good luck on the border!
