Saturday's Quilt Show

As I said in my post "Friday's Quilt Show", there was just too much to include it all in one post, so be sure to check out the pictures for both shows.

Here are some of my favorites from the Granbury, Texas, Guild Show in Glen Rose last Saturday.  I'm not sure why they went to an adjoining county, but I guess they got a better place for the show.  It worked fine for me!

Best of Show -  This picture does NOT do it justice!

Not a panel; truly a work of art!  Tiny little pieces!
My favorite; again picture doesn't do justice.  The next pictures are closeups.  Notice the lace in borders.

So delicate; so romantic; Wish you could see it better, or in person!  The lace is appliqued onto the border and then stitched onto the quilt with the border.  I suspect the lace is from an antique lace tablecloth, but not sure.  No matter --- it's gorgeous!
Someday I want to make one of these!
Which APQ blogger does this remind you of?
Of course, I have to show this Texas quilt!  Not a panel; all applique.
2015 Raffle Quilt
This was their incredible raffle quilt.  Unfortunately I did not win it!  (Picture copied from the Granbury Guild website)
.Hope you enjoyed the pictures from both shows as much as I did.  Maybe I'll have something of my own to show in a few days.  I finished a donation quilt tonight, but haven't taken a picture.  I'll just tell you it is the ugliest quilt I've ever made.  I'll explain another time!

Be sure to check out my "Friday's Quilt Show" post too if you missed it.

Hope you have a great week and get lots of projects finished --- or a new one underway.

---"Love"

  1. The cowboy and horse is a funny quilt. Someone with a sense of humor made that one.
