I wish I was quilting, (yeah, I know; it should be 'were'), but I'm not! I'm not the happiest quilter because of it either! I really do enjoy all my Christmas decorations, but it is not nearly as much fun packing it up and putting it away as it was getting it all out!
I finally uncovered the top of the sewing machine cabinet, and then more stuff got stacked on top of it again, waiting to go into a storage tub! I'm beginning to wonder whether or not I'll ever get it all packed and back where it belongs.
When it is all finally finished, I'll have to get busy! I'm way behind on my Moda Block Heads blocks. Everyone else will have their quilts together before I get started on mine I'm sure!
Besides those blocks, I just want to do some ordinary piecing and some quilting! I'm missing that!
I wish I could begin next week, but that won'tl be possible. It will probably be after the middle of February before I can even open the sewing machine cabinet. I have another project I'm working on, not at all related to quilting. I can't tell you about it right now, but it is something I'm wanting to do. It is requiring lots of prep time, and my brain is getting all bum-fuzzled! But it is something I've been thinking about for some time, and this seems to be the perfect time. Hopefully I will survive!
In the meantime, I'll just keep reading all your wonderful blogs and looking at your beautiful quilts, and dreaming of which quilt projects I want to work on as soon as it's possible. Hopefully I'll get more quilting done in 2018 than I did in 2017! (Of course, that wouldn't have to be very much!)

Oh no! I re-read your previous post a few days ago, and assumed that everything would be put away. Can’t wait to see what your new, not related to quilting, project is. I am looking forward to completing the last few Block Head blocks and also doing a little non quilting sewing too. Pajama pants for my soon to be 12 granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteWell, you have me really curious about this project of yours!
ReplyDeleteI thought I had Christmas finally all put away, and I just noticed a decoration still sitting on a window ledge in the family room. Hope you get ALL of yours put away! :)
I’m not that surprised, so be patient and quilting will come all in good time. I need to sort out my sewing room this weekend.
ReplyDeleteA little at a time and it will all be safely stowed away until next year. Can't wait to hear more about the project, it sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteHi Love ,Feb will be here before we know it and you will be back to sewing again, good luck with the project that you are working on,hope you have a lovely day my friend xx
ReplyDeletePacking anything up (if you do it carefully, which I'm sure you do!) always takes longer than taking it out. I am lucky to have helpers with that now. I preferred no help when the help was younger, and the help will disappear again when they leave the nest in the next few years, but I enjoy it now when I can! Your sewing machine will wait for you. I look forward to seeing what you're up to that isn't quilting, if and when you can share.
