Once again, I'm living in a nice cool house, and while this computer still has a few kinks , it is doing much better.
A big load was lifted from my shoulders today when I met with a longarm quilter I'd never seen nor heard of before. I was very impressed with her skill as she showed me several quilts she has quilted. Her home is beautiful, and her quilting room is superb! Her interest and caring for my quilts gave me a quite peaceful feeling, and we were able to reach an agreement on a simple quilting design at a cost I can afford. She will have both of my patriotic quilts completed, hopefully by the middle of June, and I can then finish the binding by July 4. Yea!!!!!! I can hardly wait!
Sorry I bent your ears and tired your eyes, reading that sad three-stanza song in my last blog. I was about ready to throw in the towel, but I do believe I'll live after today! Maybe I'll actually get in the mood for quilting again!
Next week IS going to be much better! *grin*

No problem, Love. That's what we are here for - well I am at least. Seems as though things are back on track. I'm looking forard to seeing your quilter's work. Ann :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that things are looking up today. I remember growing up in Houston when our air conditioner went down for a week in the middle of July. I don't think my attitude was nearly as good as yours was. :-)
ReplyDeleteI also have had my quarels with the computer. In college I had two computers in a row catch fire on me (or rather they started smoking due to what we think was bad wiring in the walls). At the time, Dell tech support guy told me that my computer was possessed by the devil. The second tech told me that I should go buy a lottery ticket because my chances of having two computers catch on fire was worse than winning the lottery. I was not a happy camper loosing all my work mid term twice!
I'm so glad your patriotic quilts are going to be finished. You haven't posted pictures of them on this blog (I remember seeing them on the APQ blog) and I've been wanting to show them to my mom for ages.
Hope the week perks up and you can do some therapy quiltin to get your mind back in a happy place!
Oh, Love, so happy for you!

You're more than welcome to bend our ears any time! Remember what blogs are for - to have your say!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you've found another quilter (AND have the AC fixed!), must be such a relief. :)
Airing frustrations helps get those things off your chest, so don't apologize for doing it. We all need to "share" every now and then! I'm glad everything worked out well for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear things are looking up for you again. I hope this continues and you do get back to quilting again soon. Sometimes just getting started is the hardest part. Just know we're out here rooting for you, no matter the trouble.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to vent sometimes, and I'm sure we all understand. I'm doing a little happy dance for you now. So glad things are shaping up for you. -Joanne
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear things are better for you. I agree with everyone else, we are here for you. I can't wait to see your finished quilts.
ReplyDeleteHey.. we are blogging buddies for the good stuff and the not so good as well. I am so glad that things are turning around for you.
ReplyDelete:)Happy stitching
I too am glad things are looking up. I too am here for you-if we don't look after each other in this world-what is there?
ReplyDeleteIt must be hard to turn your quilts over to a stranger-so glad that meeting went well.
Take care,
Debra
