God Bless America!

Just can't let the day go by without wishing everyone a Happy July 4 today.  Hope you are having a fun day with family and friends.  I'm going to my son's later this afternoon; he's grilling hamburgers!

For several years it was my practice on July 4 to make or at least finish a patriotic table topper or wall hanging.  As I looked back to see what I had posted last year, I could not believe that I did not post anything red, white and blue!  I guess I was just so involved in that big Civil War quilt, I just didn't have anything new to post.  I did find a couple of pictures that I can post this year though they were both made in the past couple of years.  I guess surely I posted them somewhere sometime, but I haven't found them yet.  So here they are today.
In true fashion, this one wants to wave a bit!  Label says it was made October, 2015.

This is perhaps my favorite panel of all time.  Made July 2015, according to the label.
And how much we do need God's blessing on our nation today!
Some of you may remember the beautiful rose picture made and sent to me
by Liri in Pennsylvania, from our APQ bloggin' buddies days.   I miss her posts!
I really have been busy lately, and will have proof to show you soon, maybe later today or tomorrow for sure.  Just don't have time right now to get it together to post.  So be sure to check back later or tomorrow.

Last night I did get my Block Heads Week 17 block made.  It will have to do for my 2017  July 4 project.  Still have to make Week 16 with the flags.

Block Heads - Week 17
Have a fun and safe holiday!

  2. Beautiful quilts! I'm trying to remember if I've seen them on the blog, but don't remember them. Of course, that doesn't mean they haven't been shared here! I hope you have a wonderful time with your son and look forward to the promised proof of quiltiness!

  3. Happy 4th July Love and boy would I like to try one of those grilled hamburgers. Your patriotic wall hangings are terrific and I love the way Americans display their pride in their country.
