I am a retired secretary who began quilting in 1999. I was immediately addicted, but I still have a lot to learn. My favorites are traditional patterns and fabrics.
I love my family, my church, music, reading, flowers and gardening, birds and backyard animals. I enjoy entertaining friends in my home.
My favorite place to be is my sunroom, working on a quilt project. You may contact me at wishiwasquilting-quilts@yahoo.com .
Last post I stated I was going to sew, and I did, at least enough to make these two Moda Block Heads blocks. These were much easier than some of the previous ones. I'm glad!
Nice work Love. I like the pieced blocks rather than the appliqué ones. I've been saying all the offcuts from my CW blocks to make some of these. Housework? Can't say I've heard of it.
Ha Ha! Doomed for housework! I'd just go start another project. You can clean the house another day! The blocks, as always, look great. But don't you hate it when they come out all spread out like that and you just want to sew?!
I enjoy sewing/quilting and feel that blogging allows me to take a refreshing break from my sewing machine and connect with other quilter/bloggers and tons of inspiration blogland. And as far as cleaning is concerned, well, I must if I am expecting company :-)
Nice job. You bowtie block is especially eye catching to me! Sometimes I set a timer and allow myself 1 hour of sewing for every hour of housework--or if the house is in dire need, I give myself a 1/2:1 ratio. : )

ReplyDeleteI was happy to see these 2 easier blocks too! I have been busy working on DJ, so haven't done these yet. Did do some housework on Friday though.
ReplyDeleteVery patriotic looking with your choice of fabrics.

You did a great job on your blockhead blocks and isn't it nice to be caught up!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks! I love how the bowtie block has a smaller center. It really changes the look of it. Love it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
