This is one of the fabrics I used: (I have no idea how long I've had it! All the fabrics came from my stash!)
I've enjoyed so much seeing all your beautiful swap blocks, and I guess I became a little envious! Those of you participating will have a special quilt to remember these times of "being together online". Probably your local friends and families will never understand the thrills you experience with every sending and receiving of those blocks. I'm sure my local friends and family would never understand! I can hardly wait to see how each of you put your blocks together. Now THAT's going to be exciting!
Just want you to know I came up with a solution to keep all of you close to my heart. Here's my little APQ Blogging Buddies Memory Quilt! I still have to do the borders. I'll put my name along with the group name somehow in the border. Any suggestions? Without borders, it is 28 x 24". I had a hard time deciding how to arrange everyone, so I decided to go the usual alphabetical arrangement for 21 of my dear APQ friends. Click on the pictures, and you should be able to find your name! I'm going to love it!
Now..... are you ready for this? How do you like my pattern? Remind you of quilters? *wink*

ReplyDeletehappy quilting!!
In response to "what was I thinking" about the blue scrappy quilt, I'm not entirely sure what I was thinking. I wanted to try something truly "out of the box" for me and had seen some really eye-catching beautiful-in-their-own-way modern quilts and was inspired. You'll remember the right brain-left brain argument? Well, it wasn't just for giggles, that really was going on inside my head. I'm very pleased it turned out as well as it did and the hubby has said "it's not as ugly as some of the other ones you've made" so I think it's a win-win! (His sense of style is questionable at best, so when he says "ugly" I think "perfect"!)
