My Underground Railroad Is Underway!

I finished two of the simpler blocks on Monday afternoon, and a third one today.

These fabrics are way out of my comfort zone of pink roses and pastels, but I think my boys will like this quilt better maybe.  I'm going to take my time and do my very best to be precise every step of the way.  So far, so good!  I hope to make a couple more blocks tomorrow maybe.  I decided to go with the 12.5" blocks.

I'm probably the oldest one of the APQ gang, but never in my long lifetime have I seen so much devastation all over our great land in such a short time; really all around the entire world!  I don't know how the people can recover and restore their lives and homes!  Please join me in keeping them in your prayers.  So far, I've been safe, but even as I type this, the north Fort Worth/Dallas area is under the gun of severe storms, with large hail and tornados in the area.  (Theri, Jennifer, I hope you are safe!)

  1. Your blocks look great and I'm betting you're right that your boys will like the colors much better than pink roses! I hope you continue to stay safe - it seems this year has been an awful one for tornados and I hope we're done with them soon.

I hope you stay safe. My thoughts are constantly with all of those who have lost so much. I hope that soon the weather will settle down.
